# Install and connect

1. In RShift, choose the option to install RShift Connect.
2. On the Chrome Web Store page, select **Add to Chrome**.
3. Open RShift Connect from the Chrome toolbar.
4. Select **Connect RShift** and complete the secure authorization flow.
5. Confirm the RShift workspace you want to connect.

When the connection is ready, the side panel shows the connected workspace, a prompt for the current page, and live browser-task activity.
