Set up and use Rshift Connect
Rshift Connect securely collects visible business data from webpages you authorize into your Rshift workspace. Your workspace model creates a bounded plan, and the extension performs deterministic, read-only navigation and structured data sync. A Rshift account is required.
Install and connect
In Rshift, choose the option to install Rshift Connect.
On the Chrome Web Store page, select Add to Chrome.
Open Rshift Connect from the Chrome toolbar.
Select Connect to Rshift and complete the secure authorization flow.
Confirm the Rshift workspace you want to connect.
Allow a site
Open the HTTPS webpage you want to use.
In the Rshift Connect side panel, select Allow this site.
Review and accept Chrome's permission prompt for that site.
Access is requested one site at a time. Same-site subpages remain available during the task. If the task opens another host, Rshift Connect pauses and asks you to authorize that site separately.
Run a browser task
Describe the information to read, compare, or sync.
Select Start task.
Keep the side panel open to review progress, synchronized record counts, and permission requests.
Review page, record, skipped, and failed counts as the task runs.
You can pause or cancel the task at any time. Rshift Connect may follow relevant links, paginate, scroll, and open task-owned detail tabs. It does not submit forms or activate publishing, messaging, uploads, payments, deletion, or similar consequential controls.
Data and privacy
Rshift Connect sends the bounded initial page snapshot needed to create the extraction plan to the model selected by your Rshift workspace. The resulting plan is executed locally, and structured business records are synchronized to Rshift in bounded batches. URL fragments and credential-like query parameters are removed; non-sensitive pagination or filter parameters may be retained for recovery and source lineage.
Rshift Connect does not intercept network traffic or upload passwords, browser cookies, hidden fields, verification codes, payment-card fields, private keys, or access tokens.
You can remove a site's permission from Chrome or disconnect Rshift Connect at any time. Disconnecting revokes the browser's Rshift authorization and stops the active task.

Troubleshooting
Confirm that you are signed in to Rshift in the same Chrome profile.
Confirm that your Rshift account still has access to the connected workspace.
If a task stops on a new host, open the side panel and allow that site.
Reload the page if its controls changed while Rshift Connect was preparing the next read-only navigation step.
If the issue continues, contact Rshift Support with the visible error message and approximate time. Do not send passwords, cookies, tokens, or private customer data.
