# Invite your team

Workspaces are shared. Invite the people who need to work in the workspace and give each one the narrowest role that lets them do their job.

## Invite a member

1. Open workspace settings and find members.
2. Invite by email, or share an invite link if your plan supports it.
3. Choose a role.

## Roles

| Role | Typical use |
| --- | --- |
| Owner | Full control, including billing and deleting the workspace |
| Admin | Manage members, integrations, and settings |
| Editor | Create, edit, and publish content and projects |
| Viewer | Read-only access |

RShift re-checks your role on every request, so changing a role takes effect immediately. See [Roles and permissions](/workspace/roles-and-permissions/).
