# MCP Gateway overview

RShift MCP provides one OAuth entry point for authorized marketing, content, monitoring, analytics, and Sites tools. Each OAuth connection is bound to the workspace selected by the user.

## Connect

1. Enable MCP for the workspace.
2. Copy the MCP URL: `https://mcp.rshift.com/mcp`.
3. Add that URL as a remote HTTP MCP server in your client.
4. Sign in, choose the workspace, and approve access.

There is no workspace API key to copy or store. The workspace is written into the OAuth grant, never the URL. To use multiple workspaces, add the same endpoint as separately named servers and authorize each connection to a different workspace.

RShift checks the signed-in user’s current membership, role, plan, enabled services, and tool capability before every request, so permission changes take effect without reconnecting.
